Calling Girls

Sometimes picking up that phone to call a woman seems like an insurmountable obstacle. You can’t figure it out. It was easy to walk up to her at the café and strike up a conversation and get her number and now that you have it – you freeze.

If you can learn how to be comfortable calling girls, you are well on your way to the next most important step – setting up an in person meeting.

Here are some general steps and rules that should hopefully make the process go a lot smoother.

Calling Girls Steps:

1. Wait. That’s right. Wait. I don’t care how eager you are to pick up that phone and how prepared and pumped up you feel, you need to wait.

Wait at least 24 hours, but preferably wait 48. That’s right, two full days. Make her wonder if you are going to call. If she is questioning whether you like her or not, you have a better chance of garnering her attention and building attraction toward you.

2. Let’s assume you’ve waited 24 or even 48 hours and you dial her phone. There are going to be two possible scenarios: she either answers the phone or you get her voice mail. (Okay, there are actually three options – you might not get her but still not have the ability to leave a message for whatever reason. In that case, wait a full day and try again. Whatever you do, don’t keep calling because it will probably show up on her caller ID and she will be freaked out that you are a stalker and avoid you for life.)

So, assuming she doesn’t pick up, your next step is to leave a message. A very brief message. You should only say your name, maybe remind her of where you met and then ask her to call you. That’s it.

3. Again, there are two scenarios to look at here. She either calls you back or she doesn’t. Let’s first address a scenario in which she doesn’t return your call. Wait two days and try again. If you don’t reach her a second time, leave another message. Now the ball is out of your court. You will do nothing else unless she calls back. If she doesn’t call back, it’s over. Move on. Otherwise, you are a desperate chump.

4. In the second scenario, she calls back. Ask her how her day was. Let her talk for as long as she wants to. When she is done, don’t tarry around, and chits chat. Your goal with this phone call is simple: To arrange an in-person meeting. To that. Then get off the phone. Your job is done. It might be hard if you are a talker, but you can save those long, lingering phone conversations for when you’ve been dating for a while. Right now, you want to maintain a bit of mystery. Get in, get the job done (a date set), and get out.
